During the 17th century, the Netherlands became known for its export worldwide. With this in mind, the Old Amsterdam Cheese Store wants to introduce its cheese souvenirs worldwide.

In March 2013, the Old Amsterdam Cheese Store opened its first cheese shop in Amsterdam, the unique concept is to sell cheese in souvenir packaging. The cheese is made from pasteurized milk and is vacuum packed. This allows the cheese to be exported worldwide.

In January 2015 the Old Amsterdam Cheese Store opened its cheese and wine tasting space, in this cheese and wine tasting people can experience unique taste combinations.

During the cheese tasting you will learn how cheese is made, you will also be able to name the differences of these cheeses. The cheeses will be tasted with wines specially selected by a sommelier.

In the center of Amsterdam there are four cheese shops of Old Amsterdam Cheese Store, where you can go for your Old Amsterdam cheese, cheese souvenirs or a cheese and wine tasting. Wardenaar has developed infrared heating special heated tables for these stores. the tables only heat an area around the table. the radiators used only provide heat without light.
